I try not to go over 3k on the engine oil. Same as I would do for my 21 year old truck. Primary and trans. is a diff. story.

Lets see what could an owner gain by regular fluid changes?

Now then what could Harley gain by recommending extended miles on service times? hum

Because some of us live a little further up north. LOL.

Nearly 6" of the fresh white crap last night and today.

Seems funny some say check and read the manual and then they don't want to trust what it says regarding fluid change frequency.

If it makes you feel better by wasting money on fluid changes frequently then by all means keep on truckin' but I'm sticking with what the maker of the bike recommends.

Put on some good miles for me! And post some pics.

While the weather sucks, between the Packers winning the Superbowl, and WI and Marquette in the Sweet 16, that certainly helps to pass the time.

Since I change all of my fluids every 3k miles does this mean that I will get a Bajillion Gazillion miles from me Dyna??

On a serious note my tranny shifts more smoothly within the first 1500 miles on fresh fluid, after that shifting starts getting more notchy. Thats why I like to change it so often.

No, you will only get about a trillion per motor rebuild....

I just hope the extra $20.00 per year doesn't break the budget. I guess it is one less tank of gas per year...
