Well I bought my first Harley a couple days ago, well my first bike in fact. She's a new black Superglide 90 miles on the clock so far. I have to say these bikes are awsome!!! Of course i havent got her past 60 or so yet but it feels like imflyin! I did have one question. I live out in the country and my driveway is at least a 1/4 mile long real rough. There's a reason why i have big ol BFG mudders on my truck. There are several "sand pits" along my driveway and it's real tricky getting the bike through them on a slope with ruts and all. I have to admit i munched it walking the bike through one already. no damage to the bike, I broke its fall lol, but these street tires are damn near slicks and when u let off the clutch it slides all over the place. Is there a tire that would have more tread and give it more direction control in loose traction?
Hire a roller or something and get it packed down good enough to ride on I assume no one else uses it except your family right so up keep should be fine,
In saying that I have a pot hole at the front of my place thats been there about 5 years now lol,
hi , welcome from england ,its best to get the drive done , but you may try something like the tyres Ive got on my fat bob , they are not off road by any standard , but you should get better traction on the loose stuff , not sure of the tyre sizes on your glide , but they may do them in other sizes , they seem pretty good on the road as well , so far no issues , or something like Avon gripsters which are a cross road/off road tyre for big touring trialies , they may do a better range of sizes , good luck , enjoy your bike

Congratulations on the bike. I'll echo what they said. That's no dirt bike. It's not good for riding in sand or dirt or grass, and chances are you'll keep dumping it until you get a decent route from your house to the road.
