I'm 220 and the wife is 110. I lowered mine the first summer I had it and with in 3 weeks put the stock shock back on. I would not suggest it if you do ANY two up riding.

Go with air ride. Dump the air to slam it riding solo, pump it up for riding 2 up.

I'm just 5'6" with a really short 27" inseam, not looking to lose any weight (quite the opposite). I just put a new front end on (3 degree, 2 over) so that should have kept the front around the same height. I forgot to compensate for the 21" wheel over the 19" I had so I'm an inch higher up front and now looking at possibly bringing the rear down... Partially for look and partially to stand flat footed.

I seriously doubt you gained an inch of height, most 19 and 21" tires I looked at when I swapped were within 1/2" of each other diameter wise. My 19 was actually only 1/2" smaller than my 21 and that was the overall diameter, so only 1/4" height wise.

In my opinion, if your doing that much two up then 12 inches should be the absolute LOWEST shock to run. Either choose a Heavy Duty 12 incher or have a set of custom jobs built for you. Plenty of people run 11's but to me thats way to harsh of a ride.

I'm going to 13.5" shocks.
That will be a wise choice.

It was VERY expensive, but worth every cent! I should have gone with this mod many years ago.
