ok so I kind of broke the bank on the V&H Big Shots, PCIII and some other goodies and now I'm stuck w/the old football as an aircleaner cover. I'm not looking for anything black as I have chrome on the bike & not looking to spend major$$ either. I like the look of Arlen Ness slotted (but not the price) I know you guys will have some suggestions, I even went thru some previous posts but didn't really see anything pop out.
I did my Wide Glide up like SuperGlide's yesterday. Only mine had the newer "tear drop" instead of the football. The difference is mine had to be trimmed clear to the Faux-fiber center, as it is not stamped symmetrically. This left me with about a half inch gap between the cover and filter outer seal, so I dimpled the center hole to take up some of the slack. Still sticks out a little less than a quarter inch, but looks good at any angle, gives a little depth to the look.
Wrap your Screamin' EagleŽ round air cleaner element in style. The mirror-chrome low-profile Air Cleaner Cover shields the element and opens breathing space between the backing plate and the cover. Cut-away bottom design exposes the air cleaner element to maximize the air flow. Easy to install, the one-piece cover is the ideal complement to the Chrome Air Cleaner Back Plate P/N 29510-05.

I haven't seen any CD mods yet, but that sure doesn't mean it's not on here. Another thing I've been thinking about trying is some type of "spinner" setup. Maybe something along the lines of a fan blade setup for propulsion. Haven't really put the time and effort into how to do it yet, but I'm gonna try sometime.
