Default Mid Pegs on Fat Bob....finally!

Well, thanks to Pensacola HD I got my mid pegs pretty quick. It makes the ride a LOT more comfortable as I am not having to strain and stiffen my legs out to reach the forward pegs/control at least until I shift.

Here are some photobucket pics until I learn to post like the rest of you computer literate folks:

Nice! It sure is nice to have two foot positions on longer rides, I'm glad I went with highway pegs on my scoot instead of forward controls.

Mine came with the forwards. It dawned on me 100 miles out of Birmingham when I left the STEALER that it was gonna be a tough ride home. LOL. Now it feels great.

Looks really good. Nice job.

I've got mid control pegs on my 2010 SB and highway pegs to stretch out on... I prefer mid pegs... I like my highway pegs but every time I take my feet off them to go back to controls the 'bike starts to wobble like crazy... guess I need to work this out...

Thanks!

Got a kid of mine on a Suzuki GZ 250 as a starter bike and every time I ride it it's like a wobbly yoyo.

Great minds think alike!

I just bolted mid-mount pegs on to my 2009 Fatbob this past weekend too.

For the record:
Item Number Description
---------------------------------
50666-07 FOOT PEG BRACKET and B(rake mount) - Crinkle black paint
50667-07 Support, FTPEG. LH - - Crinkle black paint.
3214 SCREW, TAPPING, FXD' Qty 4 to bolt the brackets to the bike
7045 LOCK WASHER, Qty 4 for the four bolts above
4180 SCREW BUTTON HEAD T(orx) - Qty 2 to bolt down the foot pegs
7667 NUT HEX LOCK Qty 2 - Nylock nuts for the foot peg bolts

Not listed:
2 of the spring washers that fit between the peg and the inner wall of the peg mount to hold the pegs up.
2 foot pegs of your choice
Locktite Blue for the 4 bracket bolts

You can also get the brackets in chrome, but they are nearly double the cost.

The only issue I have is the ~5/8" diameter polished steel pin that acts as a pivot for the brake pedal on mid-control equipped bikes.Visually the pin sticks out a bit too much. I should have painted that pin flat black before I bolted that right side together.

Maybe a project for next weekend

CYa!

I'm very fond of the mid pegs on my bike for the longer rides. Plenty happy with the forward controls and boards the rest of the time. Mid pegs aren't shown in my sig pic, and the boards are much more leveled out now than they were in the picture. The angle was comfortable, but I scraped 'em too much.

When I get home from overseas, I'm gonna put some smaller boards up front, just because I think the oval boards are kinda ugly there. I might put the oval boards in the middle position, I might put the Kuryaken "wings" in the middle position, or I might just keep pegs there. I'll have to try different combinations to see what I like the best and which is most comfortable.

Personally, I prefer comfort over elegance, but it'll be nice if I can incorporate both qualities into the overall foot-rest situation.

Looks good, but based on your post it sounds like you might be even happier with mid controls, and adjustable highway pegs. With that setup you could bring the highways a bit closer so you wouldn't need to strain to reach them.

I did the same mod a few weeks ago, and now I find myself almost always with a foot on the mid pegs while cruising down the highway. It also gives you a place to stand up when doing a slower speed to stretch the legs out.
