Yeah, I know the oil pump isn't necessary, I was just curious if everyone else is pulling theirs since the write-up includes that.

Also, there are much less expensive alternatives to the bearing puller and installation tool. Check out the auto parts store for loaner tools if you don't already have your own kit.

Just for reference look at the pictures from Harbour freight
Blind hole puller #95987
Bushing bearing set #38145

Very easy to use...specially the puller...to install put you bearings in the fridge or freezer overnight it makes them contract and when you get ready to install , make sure you put a lot of assembly lube on them, tap them in slowly until they are seated...writing on bearing facing out...don't have to hit hard they just go right in......

You can rent the 2 tools from Auto Zone and they credit your credit card or cash when you return them or go buy them at Harbour freight for about $65 and keep them...yeah the ones from AZ will be like $275 but you get all your money back...
