Ok guys take me to school. I have a 95 WG with the rear bobtail duh right? Well I hate that rear fender thats just me. I would like to run a chopped non bobtail fender. Now I have read I can buy a superglide or sportster fender and it will bolt on. I will pull my long strut covers and leave them off. I do not have rear sigs so no worries there and I will use a side mount with light plate holder. So will this work? I plan on cutting the fender off right after the black strut ends. Do I have to lower it too on the strut with new holes? Thanks guys just want to be clear on it before I start shopping then chopping!
Any other Dyna or Sportster fender will bolt right on, back in '95 they all came with the same size rear wheel and therefore the same distance from frame rail to rail.
Now, the question would be which fender would get you the look you want, and that's up to you.
You don't have to lower the fender in the rails, but you may want to go to lower shocks or a lowering kit if you want to bring the wheel closer to the fender.
Ok great thanks for the reply! Do I need it to be off a 95? Also it has I believe only 11" shocks on it now and looks like it sits low but some 10" would look killer!
