Really fascinating - which cams did you use and my I ask how much they charged to install. The increase is torque is dramatic and significant and it also looks like it extended the torque band up the RPM range. The only bad news, is it dropped it almost 10 under 3000 RPM. When running though the gears, I like to run 3500 - 4500 which is perfect for this profile. But once I reach cruising speed (whatever speed & gear), Im uusually running 3500-2800 rpm. Do you notice you run typically one gear lower than before or do you consistently downshift? Thanks for taking time to post and would love to hear how feels to you as you ride now both in lower and higher rpm ranges. Thank you, Kevin.

No, I never feel a loss as I don't ride under 2500. These are the Woods TW 6-6's, and they work perfectly for my riding style. And since I run higher in RPM's than some people, I never feel a need to downshift. I had Jamie at www.fuelmotousa.com install them for me and dyno the bike for me afterwards. Total cost was right around 1,100. If you can turn a wrench at all and have a shop manual you can do it yourself for around 600.00 not including a dyno-tune. There is a new variable of my cam out now that bumps the numbers a couple of more points in both HP and TQ. It's the Woods 555's.

Thanks again for sharing. Will definitely consider a DIY, just for fun and to learn more about the bike. I have a service manual and already started a little research. It seems these cams are easier than many although there is a least one specialized tool I would probably not use again; but I have a garage full of those already, what's one more Searching around, the Woods seem to have a pretty good reputation. Seems like a really solid performance improvement for comparatively low dollars. I've only had the bikes for 11 weeks and I've said it has plenty of power if you keep the rpm up, but for the price of two chrome-whatever upgrades, why not?

Looking forward to taking a week in TN to some riding next year, used to go to Gatlinburg for Christmas every year and it's so beautiful. A couple of extra ponies going uphill 2-up never hurt anyone - well that's my story.... Thanks again, Kev
