I'm with tarathatcher, bought an '06 1200c sportster and loved the black engine, but the wife and I went to our dealers '07 debut during a power outage we had in July and she saw the 35th anniversary superglide and had to have it, so we traded in the sportster for it. At first I wasn't too keen on the silver engine, but it has grown on me and looks good for this bike.

Yea I like Superglides I even thought about trading in my 06 Bob on an 07, for a few seconds but it just didn't make sense.My bob with the Flanders flat track bars is basically a Superglide in my favorite color.I could take or leave the spoke wheels but the wrinkle black motor rocks.

Really dating myself but I have wanted a Super Glide since I was in college. Everytime I had a chance when not in classses or studying or getting drunk, I would drive to the local Harley shop and ogle over the brand new 1971 Red White and Blue Boatailed Super Glide just in on the dealer's showroom floor.
Took two wive's, one divorce, and 22 years of raising kids, (4), but I finally got one!!!!!!
Bought her new in 2003 and first big ride was to the Harley 100th Anniversary in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Now sporting:
Chrome front end and lamp
21 inch front wheel assembly with floating rotor
Wide Glide bars
Forward controls
HD Stage 1 air cleaner kit and Dyno Jetted carb
Super Trapp 2:1 SuperMegs
S&S Cam Gear Drive
Andrew TW-37G cams
Corbin Hollywood Solo saddle
HD Billet shocks (lowers bike 1 inch)

That is my youngest daughter, she loves riding on the Harley.
I promised her a Sportster for a college graduation present. A year and a half of college still to go.

Well that sounds like a good reason to finish college.

Love my 2001 FXD. I just wish I had chrome primarys and right side chrome covers. I have a badlander seat that kills my butt,but it sure looks cool. I must admit all my friends are trying real hard to make me buy a Ultra or street glide........Davey
