9 minutes?

I posted that on their page last night

And for what its worth they did finally email me- AFTER they saw I posted here. Had I not posted on the forums, I really doubt id get an email

Either way, I dont care if they replace it or not. What would make me happy is them putting a disclaimer on the site/product indicating it REQUIRES modification before installation. I know and understand they have a warranty, which is fine, but its one of those things where you question that warranty will be valid if drilling/hacking the product. Maybe Custom Dynamics can state they will still honor the warranty after modification so it can work properly.

As for the keyboard warriors indicating I shouldnt do the work myself on my bike? I did a lot of work on my bike with no issues at all. Its simple, follow the manufactures directions, not alter brand new products, stay inline with the warranty, and all has worked perfectly fine. This has been the only case that there was a requirement to hack a perfectly brand new accessory to get it to work, yet it was not stated anywhere. My bad. I guess when I get new parts from this point on if they dont work 100% I will just start hacking away until it works.

Im over the thread, big deal- im out a couple of bucks and am going to just order the Kuryakyn version which is a little more money but much higher quality product obviously.

Geez, some people shouldn't be trusted around machinery as complicated as a drill. I advise the OP to have his next mods performed by at least a trained chimpanzee. I mean that in a nice way.

Your not very bright, are you? I mean that in a nice way. All I did was bolt it up as it was intended, following directions. Nothing said to hack/cut it dude. I never tried/attempted to drill it, nor did Custom Dynamics suggest/recommend that to me anywhere on their website, packaging, or instructions.

Get it?

posted on Facebook! Na na na na na! Thats like calling someone, blasting them and hanging up on them. I love 2011......people hide behind emails, text instead of calling, lets just try like it used to be, talk to people! Every businessman deserves the right to make good on something. Its that simple. I bet the OP sends email out when he's angry too!

Apparently, quite a bit smarter than you, just like about every poster so far. You do need to chill a bit and read all the previous posts. Not to pick on your own brightness, but....the correct spelling is "You're" in your above sentence.

Just calm down a bit. The universal product that you bought, if it didn't already have, should have had a notice stating that it should be installed by a competent person. Their bad if it didn't state so.

On the other hand, had you the intelligence in the first place, you would have recognized your own incompetence and employed the trained monkey to drill the required holes way before blasting the company on Facebook!

I've installed plenty of TruFLEX and Radiantz LED lights and knew that I had to protect the delicate wires, drill my own holes and do my own routing. I used a few layers of shrink-wrap and tightly routed them with zip ties, wire looms and clamps.

Don't expect a company to make allowances for every idiot that buys their products. Doing so would raise the prices for the majority of us that are buying their goods because of the attractive price and have the expertise to make a correct installation. LED's don't require 18 ga wire, so they don't come with it. A 25 page instruction manual isn't needed by most of us with a little common sense.

Try to regain your cool and stop blaming the messengers for your total lack of maturity. You have been so wrong, but still hold on to your total lack of ownership. Grow up, dude, life isn't going to get any easier when you are out on your own.

You are right Hemi, Custom Dynamics should not have to rewrite their instructions just because some people should not be allowed to install anything beyond a straight bolt on product.

We have dumbed down our society so much that it just seems common place for the simplest of crap to be explained in writing. That is a sad commentary on a nation that once stood for rugged individualism.

There is no way we can dumb everything down to where nobody will make a mistake.

The sad part of this whole thread is that the OP just does not comprehend what everyone is trying to tell him.

It should have been obvious to anyone with a modicum of intelligence trying to install this product that you needed to drill a hole for the wire. Any other method of installation would lead to damaging the wires.

And one other point, who the hell reads instructions anyways.....

"It should have been obvious to anyone with a modicum of intelligence"

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the problem here...

Hemi Orange, I always enjoy your posts-they're consistently well written and well thought out. But I think we're all wasting our time here trying to get the OP to comprehend where he took a wrong turn.

To paraphrase a bit, none are so blind as those who will not see.

All of your posts are redudant bantering and borderline offensive bashing my intelligence level, which is pathetic. Get over it, you sound like a bunch of children at this point. If you want to question intelligence, go right ahead. I didn't become a self made millionaire by listening to a bunch of know it alls like you. At the end of the day, I took the time to warn people of a crap product and you people took it out of context and attacked me for posting a complaint to the company on Facebook. Who cares. I'm done with the subject, you have all beaten the dead horse enough.

Here is where you show that you haven't a clue. Even when given instructions, you still don't understand them.

No one here has been suggesting that you modify the product you purchased. They've been trying to tell you that you have to drill a hole in the surface on which you plan to mount it. In this case, that would be the license plate, at least. I'm amazed that this isn't obvious to anyone looking at the thing. It's like having to teach someone how to scratch, or something.

I really love your last post about how you're a self-made millionaire. That's the icing on the cake!

I know a girl like you. She's a 12 year old, living in a 20 year old body. She absolutely lives for facebook and text messaging, and can't put down her mobile phone long enough to have a meal.

I really like the kid, but she's dumber than a box of rocks.

Sorry, man. I didn't mean to be "borderline".
