Yep it's an EVO, we have a whole forum just for Evos here.
I'd look at the Cam sensor. It times out the spark or when bad stops the spark.
Plugging in and turning the power on with the new module may have caused it to spark 1 time.
Replaced mine last year when I had intermittent ignition issues that turned out to be a bad ignition module. On my year the cam sensor was old style. The new one is a "potted" integrated device and much better than the unit from the 80s.
