You say accessory fuse. Well look in your fuse box and you will see "acc fuse". As for the plug that goes to it, well here I attatched pics for that.
Accessory plug is under your seat. Did this last year. Bought a plug that fits and cut the end to atttatch to my accessory.

What about the basic question of whether you want this to be a permanent mount or not? If the GPS cradle is going to remain on the bike at all times, and you are using a Garmin, you can use their power lead Garmin supplies and go right back to the battery. It has it's own fuse. There is no need to go to the accessory fuse on the fuse block. You make it hard to answer the question without supplying more info on your gps prefence, mounting location, permanency, etc. I ran my Zumo power lead back to the battery.First, though, I cut the wire and soldered in male and female connectors (purchased at RadioShack) located in the handlebar area, so I could plug and unplug my power and take the cradle off of the ram ball and have nothing showing on the bike. Now that I use the GPS as my mp3 player every time I ride, I use the mounting plate I showed you in your other thread and the cradle is more permanently mounted.

i was gonna buy one of the direct gps leads off amazon till i read the reviews of how bad they suck. i think i'll just add a lighter plug to my bars and buy a cord with the swappable mini and micro usb so I can charge my garmin 765t gps and my droid x phone or whatever else i may need to charge. sounds like the simplest most versatile setup to me.

It would be more preferable in my opinion to run it to a switched power source like the accessory fuse rather than run it straight to the battery. That way when you shut off the bike the GPS is not drawing any power from the battery.

That's true, but since it asks you if you want to continue on battery mode when you shut off the bike it's my reminder to just turn off the Zumo. I also like being able to use the Zumo on bike battery if I am re mapping a route due to detour, etc. I don't want to drain the Zumo's internal battery if I can help it.

Oh yes, replying to Kevin W, your system is only the most versatile for you, having that model gps.My Zumo doesn't work from a usb or mini usb while mounted in the cradle. The usb port is under a cover on the bottom of the unit, locked into the cradle. But, if I had your unit, it would definitely be nice to have an available plug to charge my phone, etc. Nice!

This is the easy way to have a cig lighter socket for whatever you want to plug in. I already had the battery tender lead installed so I bought the 18" cord and my gps fits perfectly in the clear map pouch on my tank bag.....http://www.powerlet.com/product/sae-...ket-cables/319
