Hi,
I posted this on the tech forum with no luck, so I thought I'd try here...
Just installed a Gen3 EJK (no adjustments made on the tuner) on my '11 FatBob with SE Heavy Breather and Rush 2.25 slip ons. I am noticing a little loss of power when starting out from from full stops. Dobeck Performance confirms that I need to adjust the Accellorate (Yellow) mode. But what should it set it to? I've only had it out for a 20 mile ride (highway and backroads) and there No other issues with the bike. No popping or anything like that. Install was easy as pie. I just want to make sure I'm tuning for the right issue and not doing any damage to my engine. -Thanks, Rudy
Why didn't you ask Dobeck performance while you had them on the phone?
I thought those came with suggested settings for your bike in the installation guide.
If all else fail adjust it one setting at a time. You can't hurt anything doing that.
I can't call during the day, so I sent them an e-mail over the weekend with the same questions that I posted on the forum. They answered the question about which setting to adjust, but never acknowledged the others. I have read on the Street Glides guys have set the Yellow mode to 2.0 and 2.5 and seen better performance and milage, but I wanted to be sure this was true for Dynas with my set up as well before I fry the engine. Thanks for reading my post and chiming in...I appreciate the ideas. Maybe I can catch someone at dobeck during lunch, but only lasts for about 10 min. I guess it's better to have a job so I can afford a bike and upgrades. Cheers. Rudy
