Default Dyna Mileage

Spotted a thread on mileage under the Road King section so got curious.

On the Fat Bob, I'm doing 12.9 kms to the liter or 30.3 miles to the gallon. Compared to what the RK guys report, that's at the very low end, and they got the heavier bikes. What do you do?

Average over the last 56,182km (=34,909 miles, 78 months):

5.06 liters for 100 km (= 19.76 km per liter = 46.478 mpg)

Around 19 km/l or 44mpg.
OP, your mileage is very very low, you must be driving your FatBob very hard (and shifting always at very high revs..) or something is not right with your EFI settings...

Strictly around town running errands, etc. I get 38. Mix in a few 50 mile rides and it goes up to 40 -42 mpg. Road trips I've gotten 49 to 51.

2010 FXDC, Rush slip-ons, Ness Big Sucker AF, Dobeck TFI Injector tuner.

Wow. That's good mileage. Perhaps I got throttle control issues. Run with a slightly modified bike but that can't make that much difference.

My 09 FatBob gets 45-49 mpg routinely on decent fuel. 40 or so if using the throttle aggressively. Those 204s shouldn't affect mileage that much, should they? What are you using as a tuner? V&H pipes have been known to not place the O2 sensors properly, which may lead to poor fuel economy, but I dunno. What do the plugs look like?

Almost equals my MPG, Marco. I've noticed when riding in mountainous areas (Germany & France) my MPG goes up a few miles.

Where are you in Germany? Check out the stickies in this section:

Other Countries.

Who knows we'll meet one day?!
