Hi All, took my 09 fxdl black and orange, 14,000 miles into the shop to touch up some paint chips. They tell me to come in to talk. Turns out bad paint from the HD Factory. The paint is seperating from the metal, flaking and bubbling on both fenders. HD says to send photos which will be done tomorrow,bought a camera today. Anyone run into this before? How did you make out?

Harleys have some of the most quality paint jobs I have ever seen. Very similar in quality to high end cars, Cadillacs etc....

I would think that the MoCo will handle this for you no problem.

Dang Paul, you need to find a closer dealer!

 

I had an issue on my new 11 wide glide about 6 months ago. Clear coat chipped off the front of the tank. They had it taken care of pretty quick from the warranty side. Just took a while for my dealer to get the tank in. Good luck.
