07 FXDC new tires

Hey Guys I got 14000 miles and need new skins I was wondering what brand to buy I was thinking Metzler and when I do should I have the bearings changed I know to have them checked but if needed is there a better brand then HD somthing more relieable I heard Baker or somthing and way I would like a great tire & one that will last more then 7100 miles on the rear I am retired so I have to stay on buget any help will be apeciated ! Bearings are sealed and should still be good with your mileage. I recently had the shop install a metzeler 880 in the stock size and it has been good tire so far(1500 mi).

I have run two metzlers me 880 on my 07 fxdc and gotten about 10k each, just keep air pressure at 44psi and you'll be good. They handle great

I just put some of the new Michilin Commander II's on mine. I really love how they grip in the corners and the graphics on the sidewall look cool. Michilin says they are supposed to get 25000 miles out of them. Well they are a new design with a new compound so we will have to wait and see. They are a little less expensive than the Metzlers. Check em out at the motorcycle superstore. Good luck.

I put a Metzler ME 880 x 110 on my '07 FXDC before I left for Sturgis last year. I had read a few threads on this Forum about going one size up on the front and decided to give it a try. I really like the change. To me, the front end feels more solid, especially going over cracks and tar snakes. No issues with fitment. So far the tread wear is good.

Running the Dunlop D407 on the rear, and D408F on the front. My third D407... ~13K out of them. Bike leans till I grind... no slippage.. nice and solid.

Just bought a 180/55ZR-18 (74W) Bridgestone G850 Exedra for 129.00 shipped to replace the stock SE dunlop with 16k miles. Put on Dunlop Elite 3 120/70 r21 on the front and love LOVE the wider tire..it tracks much better and gives a better overall riding experience.
