I have an 06 Dyna Lowrider and looking at installing 14" Carlini Pist Apes bars and have a couple questions. The bike is almost completely stock, do I have a narrow glide front end? The bars come in two widths, narrow glide or regular. How can you change the riser when the dummy lights/ turn signal indicators are on the riser?Any idea what size cables I need? Anything else I need to know?
Pretty easy answer. You have a mid glide but you want the narrow glide bars. Cables will need to be measured when you have the new bars mounted up or look for ones that are 14 inches over stock
Also extend the wiring for all the hand controls and turn/running lights. Splice or replace. Again must measure.
One could also move the turn signals to the forks to save this wiring hassle.
Typically people run the wiring internally in the bars when installing new bars. Plenty info here in previous posts on how to do that. Involved, but doable...
The Pist apes are now in two different widths? I don't see mention of this on the website and when I talked to them a couple weeks ago they said they are 11.25 wide and if I wanted something more narrow I needed to use Evil apes at 9.5 wide.
Just curious as I am considering these bars too for my FXDC
Thanks for the info. Why would I want the narrow glide bars? Closer in width to my front end? I plan on internally wiring the new bars. I helped my neighbor with his 10' Street glide so I think this will be much easier, as far as having less wires. I would like to move my turn signals as well just to add to the clean look of the bars without wires.

I apologize, you are correct. I would prefer the Pist apes but apparently they dont offer them in the narrow version. I wonder if you could cut it and weld it back together
