When i bought my bike used I wasn't sure what all was done to it. it has a screamin eagle ac, hd slip ons and factory remap. the hd mechanic showed me on the computer while my bike was hooked up and it said stage 2. it also has the 103 stroker upgrade or whatever. my bike pops pretty good when decelerating, why is this?
Well maybe Im just paranoid but I spent my hard earned $$$ on my bike. Its my day to day transportation and I'll take care of it to ensure it lasts that 100k+ i plan to put on it.. same reason we use the best oils we can get our hands on. Your motor is worth it even if its 12-15$ a quart
I changed to full exhaust with the stock A/C and to my eyes my plugs looked awful white when I did my service this weekend.
.... A tuner will be had VERY soon. my .02$

Had mine done - 1st time as a disaster. Wrong map and bad tune. The numbers were OK (80HP/96TQ) and it ran kinda OK. That was 9 months ago. Found a local guy here and had hime redo. OMG what a difference. Pulls hard all the way thru, and smooth! New numbers 88HP/100TQ. We did add SE1.725 rockers to the SE204 cam so maybe it the xtra lift, but what a difference! MORE than happy!
I chose to go with the xied's, slip on muffler and SE AC. From the research I done prior to purchasing what I did was to look at facts not hear say or other bs and what I found was that a closed loop system is better than an open loop system. PC and all other tuners including xied are closed loop systems vs stock which is an open loop. If I can hook up all this and every thing runs like I want then no harm no foul
Just my .02
Adding a Xied to a 2007 and later Dyna will lower your AFR from 14.6:1 to 13.8:1. That about 8% more fuel (closed loop mode). That boils down to cooler engine & exhaust temperatures, improved throttle response and less engine ping. Running a Xied might not be the best option but its a hell of a lot better than running with the stock AFR setting. I even picked up a couple mpg's

That sounds a little confused.
Stock bikes are both open and closed loop. Closed loop is when the O2 sensors are read and used to set the AFR, this is low/mid RPMs and throttle settings. Open loop is for high RPMs and near wide open throttle, the O2 sensors are ignored and the AFR is set from the data in the ECUs tables alone. This combination gives the best of both worlds.
PCs are one of the only open loop-only solutions. They disable the O2 sensors and the tune is completely from the tables. Tuners like SEPST, TTS, PowerVision allow the mixed open and closed loop to continue, tweaking the settings for both. Xieds tweak the O2 sensors' bias and richen things a bit just in closed loop.
