I have never been a fan of the vacuum diaphragm fuel tank petcocks.
Replace that part with a standard non vacuum fuel petcock. Not saying this will cure your problems but it wont end up being a problem later either.

Well for all those wondering what the problem was with this lean condition I finally figured it out. I took the carb off and cleaned it out AGAIN with carb cleaner and blew it out with air compressor. Must have been a real stuborn piece of dirt but finally got it. Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

Not sure why it would dye with the starting fluid. I think is just so flammable and fast that it was getting to the carb some how an killing it. But the other sprays had no effect at all. Try it to yours and see if it stalls. Curious. Buy the way, it must have been a warm day when It was working because the bike STILL has the cold cough! Im going to put a 46 pilot in it and maybe try the 1200 sportster needle.
