Question Stupid question regarding bolt covers

This is probably a stupid question, but here it goes... How do you remover the cylindrical socket bolt covers on the handlebar clamps' countersunk bolts? My wife bought some for her Switchback and they look great. But then I wondered how to remove them and got scared to put some on fearing I wouldn't be able to get them off. Is there a special tool or something?

There should be a small allen bolt on the side of it that keeps it in place

If they are the little chrome caps with fingers on them (see pic), they just snap into the allen head bolt. To remove, carefully pry off with a tiny screwdriver. Might be a hassle to take off depending how far down the bolts sit in the handlebar clamp.

Use very small, straight blade screwdriver.

They look like these...
There's no way to get a screwdriver down in there.

Oh damn, I have those same covers on my bike but they are sticking up enough to wrap a piece of leather around them and pull them off with pliers.
I have no idea how you are going to get those off.

In that case, I think you need to treat them as single-use items. Dimple the center with a nail set, and then dril a small pilot hole and yank them out.

Dang! At $20 per set? I bought a set for my bike but don't dare to put them on unless I can get them off. My dealer told me I could easily get them off. I neglected to ask how. But they sure are nicely chromed metal pieces and sure look good. I would think there would be a special tool or something.
