This is probably a stupid ? but I'll ask anyway.
Does the long plate replace the one that is behind the fender or does it go between strut and fender. Does the existing plate just fall out when removing the bolts or is it tacked in some way. was looking for video of this install but no luck. I try to get a good understanding of procedure before digging in.
Thanks
that chrome detail on the rear fender has "buttons" on it..... the side plate fits onto the front one and sits and locks onto the rear one. do you already have the setup for this or do you need the lights relocation kit?
you have a neat avatar, surely you can get pics here to help understand how to help you best, as I think I am confused, but I DO know how to answer your sideplate detach questions.
The new plate replaces the old. It has longer bolts to accommodate the spools (#3 #5) that the quick release slide onto. Just swap one for for the other. I added extra spacers to clip on removable saddle bags.
