Thanks! Yeah I saw it on youtube, if you want a clean line, you must remove it before it dry out. Does it mean you can only spray one coating?

Yes I taped the edge i wanted with electrical tape because you can bend it in any shape you want.......covered the rest with paper and masking tape...........remember when you want a clean line you must pull the tape when the plasti dip is still somewhat wet..........if you let it dry ,the tape will pull off the plasti dip.

I did about 5 coats on mine. I let my mirror dry a little longer then the other parts and it started to peel off the plasti dip. Luckily enough the mirror is simple to re do!

Just curious. I have been thinking about using the plastidip on my 883 tank and fenders. The tank however has the sportster logo that is glossed on and won't just peal off. Would I need to sand it down first and remove it, or would the plastidip cover it up pretty good. I want to replace the logo/emblem anyway.

Speaking from experience, it shows through. Unfortunately the only answer is to sand it down. I just did an 883 for a guy, and had to sand out the emblem. If you just spray over it, you can still see the outlines through it.
