Hi all, new to the forum and Harleys so take it easy on my noobness. Had the Harley bug for quite sometime now and had my mind made up on a Wide Glide until I saw the Street Bob. It just feels better to me but I'm worried about my size. I'm 6'2 230 and just don't won't to look like a giant on my new scooter. Whats yalls thoughts on the Street Bob and a taller rider and I will most certainly add forward controls. Any advice would be appreciated.
I haven't got the bike yet but will soon. What would be the best looking forwards (chrome peg style) to get, don't like the black rubber type? Who makes those low deep rumbling sounding pipes that are good quality? Also if you add aftermarket pipes will I have to buy a free flowing air filter?
Had my Baby for a week now I'm 6 ft well 511 n half as the misses sais but ordered some extended highway pegs as I love mids so much control for filtering and good clearance for windy corners test ride one with mids then a ride with forwards you will know what feels right
Well, don't worry about what you *look like*. If it feels good, just ride it & have a good time. I'm 6'1", 230# and the SB is a good fit for me. I prefer mids.

Thats my way of thinking too but I'm closer to 6'3 than 6'2 and don't wont to make a mistake. This will be my first bike purchase and want to be satisfied totally. I love the way a wide glide looks and definitely need the forward controls but just didn't like the seat and handle bars. Thats when I sat on the Street Bob and said this bikes for me. I will be using the bike for commuting to work about 30 miles round trip and weekend fun.
