I talked to my head and cylinder guy, they are shipping tomorrow. I will be dropping th bike at a bud (and forum members house) when all gets in as we have difficulty doing anything together anymore due to our schedules. Yes, the good old days are gone. I will join him after work for a few days and get this motor built. So hopefully by the end of next week I'll be blazing the trails on my 95" Dyna beast. I already seem to have issues staying at the speed limit on the Dyna (or any bike for that matter) and am wondering how that is going to affect me. Only time will tell.
RJM, you avhe the same color scheme I had before the repaint. Looks good. I was planning on staying stock too but I always end up doing far more than I have planned. How do you like those driving lights on the crash bar?
From what I was told by a dealer the only difference from the 2001-2-3 Ts is the fueltank petcock upgrade from 2001 to 2002 and the Anniversary paint on the 2003s.... Other than that the bikes are all the same....
I had no plans to put a crashbar on the bike even though I had always had one on the BMW to protect the jugs... But I saw the lines of the Limby and really liked it and then needing a place to mount the lights they were a natural pair...
The lights don't have a lot of distance but do a lot of fill in that the stock headlight failed to do...I have a pocket size flashlight that puts out more lumen than the stock headlight... Friends who I ride with also say I am real easy to find behind them like at Sturgis and three lights attract more attention from oncoming traffic than a single...
Overall I am real pleased with them and the way they look...Bob
I think I am ordering and HID today. I can hide the ballast in the fairing somewhere. I finally got my DK Custom products Stealth bobber air cleaner installed last night. I love the breather bolts and after a test ride in this morning it seems there is no oil coming out of them at all which was a concern. I think it looks great but ordered some other covers as well so I can compare and contrast the looks. Once I get the others mounted I will post pics and ask for your opinions as mine are not always the best. I did manage to lose the polished stainless and brass nut for the cover in the last few days so i used a 1/4 20 bolt I had laying around with an ugly *** washer. It will do until I locate the stuff that came with the kit. The cover is black although it may be a bit difficult to tell with the sun shining right on it.

There are several other changes from 01-02 at least on a FXDX - not sure about the FXDXT though. The rear fender is different - they moved the turns to the fender rails - The T may have been that way from 01 though. The 02 used the standard bullets, previous FXDX's used the classic large bullets.
The cam position sensor changed 01 to 02. This affected all big V-twins. This is why new engines such as the 120R only go down to 02. The 02+ ignition can be retrofitted on the bike though. This is what I did on my 2000 to use the 120R.
Hogpro,
The FedEx guy just dropped off a box for you on my doorstep. After looking at the flowcharts and the quality of the machine work, I think your going to be happy with your selection. Have you picked up your new cams yet?

They are arriving today. Should be there when I get home. Good to hear that you approve.
