So you are going up the CA coast to Crescent City, popping over to Grants Pass on 199, then on to Klamath Falls? Why Klamath Falls? Or did you mean 299 out of Redding to 139 into Klamath Falls?

If going to through Grants Pass I would probably just go up 234/62 to Crater directly then off to Bend. I have done the 299 route many times too. Its fun too.

Back in 1980 my buddies and I did the route from Crescent City to I5 via 199 N, Waldo road (just south of Cave Junction), Grayback road to 96 east at Happy Camp. This hooks up with I5 north of Yreka. 199 is OK, but major traffic as its the main path from 101 to I5 in the area, but the area around the border through the canyons is awesome. Just hope there isn't much traffic because you can't legally pass anywhere through it... The route through Happy Camp is awesome and follows the Klamath River. Major twisties and low traffic. I remember that route, but nights etc is a blur. First year out of college, good money, bunch of young guys with bikes oh the lack of memory...

From the I5 interchange you can make it to Klamath Falls by popping over to 97 via Shovel Creek Road (a few surfaces street to get to it). Or head north to OR on I5 and head out from Ashland and take Dead Indian Memorial RD to HW140 (or go out of your way on 66 and head past Howard Prairie Lake back to Indian Memorial or any other rambling way you find). From HW140 take 62 which is Crate Lake HWY.

Anyway, you end up in Bend. I can think of many, many ways to Baker City from there. Probably HW26 is involved somewhere, but may routes, Blue Mountains etc.

How do you plan on going from Baker to Moscow?

Thanks for all the info. As the date gets closer I will figure this out but as many recommendations as possible would be great. Past day 4 I have no reservations anywhere so I can only travel as far as I like. I avhe been known to plan too many miles most times.

Default T sport fuel capacity ?

My manual says 4.9 gallons with 1 gallon in reserve, however whenever I fill right after I hit reserve I can only get 3.6 in the tank. Maybe my tank is 4.5? Let me know, gotta know how far until I run out of gas before I end up on the side of the road to Laughlin with nothing.

I have the same issue, I just use my trip meter to see how many miles I have ridden. I usually go until I am around 170-180, then find the next gas station.

Me too but I want to know if there is another 1.4 gallons of just another 1 gallon before I run out.

After talking to Ric at Southeast about the GPR I have decided it is a no go. He said if I don't do wheelies which I don't that it is completely unnecessary on my bike.

I just ordered two of the saddlebag gas cans for my trip. Both my buddies have baggers so they can carry the extra gas for me. LOL.

I think it is total 4.9 and .9 of that is reserve, I know I burn more now that I had the engine built, hopefully it will get better when I get a Killer 44 CV but can't afford it right now, she is in the shop getting a six speed
