I have a new update. I was having issues with severe buffeting that only started when I had gotten new sunglasses to replace my regulars that I broke. The new glasses were different and not good for riding at all. I got another pair that were the same as my old ones I broke and all my buffeting issues went away. So, if you avhe buffeting issues you might want to try changing your glasses for soem that fit your face tight so that they do not hve the ability to move around.
The Laminar lip certainly provides more wind protection and with my new setup I am perfect. I'll have to ensure not to break my new shades. As far as my red pegs, I avhe decided they are a bit too red for teh bike and I am thinking I will replace them with the DK black version. I like the bear trap pegs on teh highway pegs better as they keep my feet in place better so i will put them back on teh highway pegs and the red ones will go on the wife's sporty as she loves teh red pegs although i don't think they will look right as her bike does not have any red on it at all.
Back to my rear cylinder oil leak issue one of these weekends I will find time to disassemble and use soem Permatex aircraft sealant on teh cases along with a new green or ring and base gasket o ring. I'll get there when I get there. For now I am just riding and enjoying although they say it's gonna rain today so I took the car and it is clear as can be ehre at the shop.
I have a question for you do you know if there is any difference between a regular lowrider rear fender and the t-sport other than the hole for the saddlebag latch, mine is a little messed up and I was looking at getting a whole set of tins out for paint and all I’m lacking is a rear fender and the painted section of the faring
They are very bright and attract too much attention in my opinion which is why I already switched out the highway pegs. I think the black ones are going back on once my Dyna is back from the oil leak fix.

How about part red, it's a nice color, just too much of it.
Thank You Hogpro that is what I was thinking too! $300 for a new one in black so I will have to look for a used one, I was thinking of going with a wideglide fender but I have a lot of time and money in the HD laydown setup I'm running now and fabricating a bracket for the saddlebags with wideglide fender might be hard
Dano, no prob. I finally got my rear cylinder oil leak fixed. Sealed it up with 1211 around the green o ring portion fo teh oil passage. It is leaking elsewhere I have discovered. I am thinking teh race has walked on teh tranny main shaft casing the shifter shaft to leak but am not sure as I yet to really inspect it. Eventually I will get this all sorted out.
In an effort to sort out my flat spot at 3500 rpms I adjusted the accelerator pump last night. The bike starts much quicker and seems to take off even faster now. the popping on decel has virtually disappeared as well.
The flat spot seems to have moved down to about 3200 rpms now so i think I will need to shim the needle or something. Any Mikuni experts want to lend some advice? Next I am going to get a new ignition and adjsut the curve to see if I can eliminate my hot start clunking as I don't really want to buy a new starter when it dies. I took teh bike out for a nice canyon blitz yesterday the first one in quite a while. It was a blast and I forgot how much fun this bike is. Of course I will not rest until this bike is perfect.

No shim necessary, just drop the clip on the needle and it will add fuel in that area. On a high compression build you can just twist the throttle once to reduce spark knock and kickback even when hot.
