I have a new HD detachable 19" windshield and it is too short for me (I am 6'6" tall). Someone here mentioned Clearview as a vendor who can make them taller (about 5" taller, in fact), but would love to know if anyone has used the product and to gather feedback before pulling the trigger. Also, if someone can recommend another -- potetnially better - -option, that would be welcomed as well. Thanks!
I have one, quality is great and it does what they promised. I'm not nearly as tall mind you, I got the big one for winter time and to be sure of avoiding any buffeting. My barn door

Thanks for the link to your write up -- looks like this is the one I would be getting. Any reason you did not go for the one with the extra curve on the top that supposedly helps even more?
Anybody ever deal with their customer service? This is my 2nd Clearview as I absolutely loved the first one on my Kawi Concours. When I bought my new Road Glide Ultra a few weeks ago, I ordered the Clearview XL. It came shipped with a pretty bad scratch and the black tape/backing at the bottom was missapplied so it was bubbled which showed through to the front.
I called customer service a few times a day since I recieved the shield Tuesday and have never got through to a human being. I left one voice mail per instructions and still have not heard back. I see nothing but positive things about their CS, so I am hoping that this delay is an abberation.
That said, I am off to the local dealership for some new well nuts to put my stock shield back on. The new bike is great, but whoever came up with the windshield mounting system should be shot! 2 well nuts were pushed into the fairing and when I tried to reinstall the OEM the first time. Got to get it back on cause who knows how long until Clearview can get me a replacement.
Hate to make my first post a quasi complaint. I've been lurking here for months while shopping for my new bike. It has been a great and informative help. Just about had me convinced to do the 5,000 mile service myself until I realized that installing the OEM windshield was apparently beyond my talents.
Just got off the phone with Mark at Clearview and they will be replacing the shield. No fuss and no problems as I had hoped. They must be pretty busy over there. I hope to put another 100,000 miles on this one.
I'm surprised it even got out the door with a scratch of any size let alone one you can see, I got a blem and can't find any flaws in it - their standards are pretty high.
