Gee, what am I missing here? You were hit by a municipal vehicle and unless you had some degree of fault in the accident I would believe that they would be all over you to settle and make you whole again and quick. Certianly sounds like a new bike to me!

My buddy when we were in high school had a snow plow truck back rite into him when he stopped at a 4 way intersection destroyed the front of his car. When he called the cops they said it was his fault, and that he needed to yield to the plow truck because it has flashing lights and can go in any direction at anytime. With that being said i'd be happy their going to give any money at all. Sucks i know but thats the sad reality of our government.

WOW! That was some shady **** that cop pulled. Thats why I said if its an ethical dept...I know...there are no ethics these days in LE. From my experience, if its a Major metropolitan police deptartment, when an officer gets involved in a TC, they send a traffic unit or a SGT to file the report and conduct the investigation to make sure there is no corruption. In police departments that run that way, if the officer is at fault and accident was "avoidable," the gentleman who got hit by the cop would get some money coming his way. Especially if its a sue-happy city where Departments are quick to settle. If it's a small good'ol boy department, your **** out of luck!
