anyone have the harley brand forward control kit? its about the cheapest one out there. just wondering how it works, looks, feels, etc. if looks like the other kits are a little more substantial in terms of harware... but all are about 100 bucks more. feel free to tell me what kit you have and why you like it... i like to wiegh lots of options
I've got the Kuryakyn controls on my 02 FXD. I bought them on E-Bay for less than the before tax HD price, and that includes the shipping. I love them and they look a lot better than the HD set. SOO smooth to operate and not bad to put on except for getting the dang break assembly off.
Just startin

Just picked up my new set from the dealer last night. They are the same ones that come stock on the wide glides, except the brackets are chrome plated vs. black.....You re-use your pegs, shifter pegs, etc. Had the service guy go over it with me to make sure I understood how to do it, since i've never done it before, looks pretty straight forward, just need to get some more tools, i.e. larger torx head sockets, and of course more locktite. I'll write a review after they're installed.
Best part is, they sold 'em to me at dealer cost, $265.00 !!!!!
