Sets throttle drag. I have mine set with just enough friction to hold it where I set it. Much more relaxing when I ride. Don't need a throttle rocker.

I use mine pretty often. I set mine just under friction so I can get my thumb in there and give it a slight turn and lock the throttle (but still be able to roll it off if/when I want to) and then I can spin it back with a fraction of a turn and it's loosened enough for the idle cable to pull the throttle closed again. Great for open highway cruising.

In all seriousness, I totally agree. Amazes me the lawyer crowd at Harley still lets them put it on. However it has been worst. My friends 1938 Harley has no throttle spring and one cable. It's were you put it..Briggs and Stanton lawn mower style no less and I questioned why he had it that way..puzzled he looked at me and said that's the way Harley made it. It was safe in 38 and so was a 38 Special? HA

There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers....

I ask "stupid" questions, that's how I am learning...

Last month I rode 4 hours at speeds of 85-90 between trip legs- the throttle stop was great to have- just don't set it where you can't twist it back down in a hurry if needed.
