Outlaw Dyna
When I said posing, it wasn't in reference to being a "poser". More in reference to the guys who polish their bikes and sit outside the Stealer with a latte pointing out all the chrome they've added to their bikes. A blacked out bike that's dirty doesn't look as bad as a billet barge that has been neglected. Doesn't have anything to do with being a badass. Some of the guys I ride with have tons of chrome and other ride bikes that you can't even tell what color it's supposed to be and looks like it got pulled out of a scrapyard.
I didn't post that with any attitude or disrespect so get off your high horse. If you think stock suspension is great then don't ever upgrade. I dont have top of the line parts but it works far better than the stock stuff. The op question was about "outlaw dynas". IMO its a style now more than anything. I ride with a club but I'm the only one with a bike like this. I will say that the guys without upgraded suspension, other than the bagger guys, are much worse for wear after a long ride than me.

And going into the 5th season now, the bikes have changed for the cast as well, given that they are more experienced. Some are using Non-Dyna Harleys, and I have even spotted other types of crusiers & baggers mixed in over the seasons. The Ness style fairings are ofter identified as being a thing because of SOA, but they have been around for a while. They usually keep to a certain blacked out look, but the bikes are pretty mixed outside of the primary cast. And that almost changed this season, when sutter expressed interest the have the stars bikes switched to Victorys after years of Harley kind of not coming through on sponcering the show like they should. Of course, they came to their senses and are working with the show instead of using it for free publicity.
As far of what I think the term outlines, is a stripped down, black, red, or matte finish paint, minimal chrome, upgraded & tuned, loud bike. But it is function (dark, loud, fast, manuverable & comfortable) over looks (shiney chrome, flashy paint, lit like a christmas tree, frilly leather & fiberglass pontoons). And much as any fool can tell you, it's all up on the person riding it, and what they like. I ride my bike every day, and where it does sport a bit of bolt on chrome right now, I'm going in a Outlaw direction with mod's. And to be honest, even though I am a fan of SOA, it's not because I'm emulating the show, it's just that I believe an Outlaw style bike functions better for a bike that is rode 7 days a week, not parked in front of a bar on weekends.
