Yea I'm no sure either, but I did put the big city thunder baffles (http://www.bigcitythunder.com) in to try and help with the low end. It was recommended to me from the guys over at TMan Performance.
Not sure how a washer looking thing will accomplish this, but I've heard/read its a proven thing...
Had a horrible time after I dropped it off at hd to get tuned. Oil pump went bad, then the rear o2 sensor was acting up. Turned out the exhaust I had on didn't have enough back pressure. So then the guy tuning my bike called and told me he had good and bad news. The good, numbers were 115/110, the bad, the battery light came on while on the dyno. Turns out the stator went bad, so now I'm waiting on that. When it rains it poors. Lol
Murphy's Law my friend, it's a Beyotch. Are those numbers AFTER the retune with the comps on it? Also, if you can, load some soundbytes, I wanna hear what that bad boy sounds like after all that marvelous work done to it.
I'm telling you Murphy has been kicking my azz on this build! Those numbers r after putting the new exhaust on. Couldn't even use the short shots. They would not give enough back pressure, which was messing with the back cylinder o2 sensor. On the bright side I have the stator (friend gave) and all the gaskets, so it just an hour labor to fix. It sounds great! I'll load up some final pics and vids once I get her back.
Were those numbers SAE or STD with just the basic out of the box Stage 4 those numbers are kinda high but then again from what I've seen in dyno shootouts and the like many tuners and the companies selling you the products want to show the numbers to make you happy. I ran my stage 4 103 with the older kit SE 110+ heads and 260 cam at a dyno shootout and made 107 hp and 105 tq it was very hot that day mid to upper 90s with high humidity so that made some difference but ran against other builds from a few of the top builders won't name any names but there 120 hp builds and the like made less than 110 hp. Matter of fact in the 103 class I placed 2nd with my SE box build so not bad. But I've seen as high as 116 hp and as low as 106 but will say the 106 was a reputable tuner with one of the better dynos that show true hp and tq and my tuner just tunes he has nothing to sell me so it is what it is. Since then I've changed the cam and had the heads worked on and I'm pulling a little more hp but more tq and put the tq where I wanted it. If your running the newer stage 4 its surprising to see a 259E pull that kind of HP and normally with that cam the TQ is a bit higher than the HP but as long as your happy thats all that matters don't worry about the numbers especially the numbers that alot of the aftermarket companies say you'll get with there builds.
