I agree, the small amount you changed in height should not have caused this much of a change in vibration or handling. Especially since you're only letting go with ONE hand. That's crazy. Double check the riser bolts and maybe think about polyurethane bushings. They will stiffen up the connection between the risers and triple trees. Also start checking some of the other things suggested. Good luck!

Funny how it's so often:

"I've modified my bike and now the handling is screwed up."

or

"My bike won't steer right/vibrates/wobbles when I ride with no hands."

I do usually ride with a batwing fairing windshield at highway speed but had that off when I was test riding so might be something there-I will throw it on and go out again. I torqued the riser bolts and cap bolts to the manual specs.-30 to 40 ftlbs, and 12 to 16 ftlbs. The other thing is weather has gotten colder here lately and haven't checked my tire pressure in awhile. Thanks for all the replies for ideas to check.

Couple weeks ago before it snowed I put the batwing fairing back on, added a bit of air to the tires (front was at 28psi) and went out for a ride at highway speed to test. No wobbles when I let go with one hand so guess maybe just the fairing and air pressure helped. Think I just haven't rode without the fairing at highway speed in awhile so maybe didn't notice before. My speedo/tach are also tilted more straight up to give the room for my fairing, so they catch the wind without it installed. Thanks for the suggestions.
