So i've been looking for a solution to the street bob limp d!ck tail light. I would love to have the fender welded and repainted but lots of cash.
I found a 3" LED flush mount light and it was around $50. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-3-Motorc...-/130737482602 So I bought it and am going to powder coat the chrome trim ring black. I'm thinking about just getting some spike bolts or something to fill the remaining holes and then buff the paint to get rid of the stock light outline.
Here are a couple mock up pics, i'm sending all my stuff off to powder in a couple weeks. Let me know what you think, thanks for looking.
Here's my setup. I hate seeing spikes and bolts in odd places on a fender. I know why they are there and to me it ruins the bike. It's just a **** cheap way to get rid of a stock tail light. Getting a fender filled isn't much more expensive than getting a few parts powdered.

that guys is legit. or you can just crack ur fender and get a 2013 fender under warenty and pay the difference but i didnt tell u that
I like this. I long ago replaced my rear fender with a smooth one. I do plan on going to a longer fender and bags on my bike (the bag in sig is trashed). Although I wouldn't put a brake light on the longer fender, I would mount these lights to the bags and run/turn/brake lights, similar to the newer Street Bob set up, only with bags and not the post.
