Hello,
I bought a new 2012 FXDC in August. As part of my deal, they put on Dyna Bob mini-apes cause I hated the stock bars. Luckily for me I found the large scratch/scrape on the tank before I left the dealer.
Finally after 6 weeks I got a brand new tank.
In the mean time after 200 miles the bottom of the jugs started weeping. When the tank came in the dealer came and picked up the bike and promised to fix everything.
I was told they ran dye in the motor and it was not leaking, that the weeping was caused by the gasket sealer.
I've put a another 200 miles or so on it and some of it is back. Has anyone every had a problem like this?
The dealer has been great. 20 percent off extras since then, picking up the bike (100 miles away) to fix, free service job, etc. They said if it didn't stop within another 1000 miles they'd come get it again. At least I still have most of the 2 year warrenty left.
Other than that I love it. Gotta change the pipes when the tax refund gets here and get saddlebags. I just hope everything is ok now and what I asked the dealer is not true. "Did I buy a 2012 or a '78 AMF here?!!!" LOL
