Ditto to what many others have said here.
I rode an 800 mile day on my FXDC last year, and 5 or 6 other 500 mile days, that was with the stock seat, although with a custom sewn cover, but still with the factory padding. Comfortable the whole time..... Actually more comfortable than my Street Glide seat.
I installed forward controls, they are eminently cool and to me, more comfortable than the mid controls.
