Bagger Dual Exhaust on a Dyna
There are a couple of hurdles that have to be cleared in order to do this modification ...
Although the motors are both "A" type (i.e., not counterbalanced like the "B" variant in Softail models) and therefore the exhaust ports are mirror images ... the mounting position/orientation of the motors is slightly different between the the Touring and Dyna models ... the Touring are rotated slightly forward with respect to the crank axis or it could also be expressed as the Dynas being rotated slightly to the aft ...
I adapted a Touring pipe (Paughco) ... and before modifying it, the pipe fit, but it angled down to the aft ... I took it to a muffler shop and asked them to bend it a few degrees more ... then had the rear pipe cut down about 3/4" ... got it to hang horizontal ...
Going with a dual exhaust with the crossover the big issue is how to support the muffler on the left side of the bike (well, both sides, actually) ... the Touring models support the mufflers on the saddlebag brackets and you can't really do that with the Dyna ...
Also, the Softail solution for supporting the dual mufflers doesn't really work since the Softails use the frame ... well, the Dyna motor is rubber mounted so you can't mount the exhaust from the frame on the Dyna or the vibration will beat it apart ...
Here's a photo of mine with non-dual ...

Hope this helps ...
