I would not get rid of either of them.
I have a third that is rode only on occasions, anything military. Been under construction for 2 years but will be riding it next week.

Toured 2-up on an FXDXT and a BMW R1200RT. Also tried a Road King and 120R equipped Tour Glide; sorry...the FLH's are just too heavy for my current riding style and the wife has her own bike. Touring is now on an FXDF and it's heavy and slow compared to the FXDXT.
My Dyna is a 2006. Just before summer, I had some rideability issues with it...eventually traced it to a bad ECM.
During this frustrating time, I was ready to push that thing into a showroom and get a Streetglide.
My bike is paid off so it made more sense to replace the ECM (with a Thundermaxx) than to loose my *** on a trade...especially with it not running. It is already set up for comfortable hauling, fast or slow, and I just love the way I have it modded.
To get to my point, as soon as I got that bike running again, I took my favorite twisty road and didn't let it fall under 70 mph. I was in love with the bike again and really can't see a good reason to go back into debt...but I guess it could happen!
I just enjoy the feel and look of riding my springer. No offense to anyone but riding a tourer makes me feel old. However, there have been a few long trips where I was jealous of my friends on their Street Glides!
Or are you happy with the lighter and sleeker Dyna and will make it work for longer rides?
I traded my Road King for a Dyna Wide Glide because I wanted a lighter, faster and more nimble bike and also love the way the Wide Glide looks. I'm happy with the Dyna, but have already made additions to it that will make it better for long distance touring. I suppose my ideal situation is to have a Dyna and a Tourer. Maybe I should have bought a Switchback.
Keeping my DD- I like traveling on the lean anyway.
At this point in my life I like my Dyna. She's just too fun to beat around on. My woman would like a touring bike but shes knows I wont part with Remedy. Just the gear head in me I guess. Maybe someday I'll have a touring bike as a second bike.
