Just put the first four hundred miles on my new 2007 superglide and am really enjoying the bike so far. I do find it drags the footpegs a little sooner than I would like in corners and would like to raise the overall ride height. In stock trim the rear end looks a little low relative to the front end and I was wondering if anyone has tried longer rear shocks to even out the front/rear balance and increase cornering clearance. What would be a good shock choice for this application? Thanks.
Great forum. I have really enjoyed reading all the posts.
I saw somone on here with pictures of a Superglide with Ohlins shocks that lifted the back end up quite a bit. It looked real good. Hopefully they'll chime in as I couldn't find the thread with the pictures. Either way keep us posted with what you find out as I think longer shocks will probably be my first mod also.
ahhhhhh....you mean that redneck kit............18's or somthin...............jack it up.........dont forget the mud grip on the back........................................ ...LO.....................
I know this might seem too obvious and you might have already tried it, BUT,..... Have you tried adjusting the rear shocks to a stiffer/taller setting?
Ohlins on rear are 3 way adjustable. Race tech gold valves in front forks eliminate front end dive. Front Brembo caliper from v-rod increases stopping power. This bike sits level with me on it. Hauls *** and rarely touch a peg..........
