Default Vance & Hines fuel pak?

A friend of mine offered to sell me her used Vance & hines fuel pak for $150. I'ts about 3 years old but wasn't on her bike for long. I just bought a 2010 Fat Bob and plan on ugrading the exhast (V&H Short Shots) and air breather sometime when my budget permits. My questions are: Is this a good price that I shouldn't pass up? Have any of you had a bad experiance with the V&H fuel pak? Should I go a different direction?

Its a good price but check the part number on the V&H site to make sure it will fit your bike.

These are catching on in NZ because Power Commanders are very expensive down here so we but Fuel Paks from Ebay.

It came off of a 2010 Wide Glide so I assumed it would match up but yeah I will ask for the part number and check. Thanks!

I've had a fuel pak on my wide glide since the day I bought it 2 years ago. My bike runs fine and I haven't experienced any problems. Check the part numbers as state above. Sounds like a decent deal. Most of the bad reviews are becuse fuel paks aren't as tunable as some of the other brands but for a basic stage 1 they work great!

$150 is an OK deal, but not a super deal.

You can find brand new on the internet for just a little over $200.

I just sold my one year old Fuelpak to a stranger for $100 here in the classifieds.

The Fuelpak works fine for what it is, which is a simple fuel management device.

Really? I've been sort of checking around on the 'net and the cheapest I've seen is $260.99. Where should I be checking?

my opinion I would not waste my time with the fuel pack there are better systems out there. you play with the numbers they give you and your only guessing at getting it right. they have no technical help to offer you, and it only manages the fuel does nothing for timing . the power commander and the vision do a lot more you can set AFR , timing, etc. and they offer technical help to guide you set it up. or fuel moto can help you with known good fuel maps.
