I decided that whenever I have the money I want to get some progressive 412 in black. Gotta continue getting rid of the chrome, haha. Who has these and how do you like them?
412's are OK, but unless you are 250lbs, stay with the standard shocks, the HD ones are stiffer than hell. I just ordered a set of 430's as they are cheap right now because they are being discontinued. My 412's are a year old and I am upgrading.

That's what I was thinking. I really like the 430s but they are way more expensive. As long as the 412s are at least a little better than the stock ones I will be happy. I just want a little better ride and to get rid of a little more chrome.
When are the 430s being discontinued? It's going to be a little while before I can afford anything so by that time I might not be able to get the 430s.
I was going to buy Progressives, but decided to go with Hagon 2810s instead after reading another recommendation here. They are (mostly) black, adjustable, and the ride is awesome.
If you just want to get rid of chrome, I'll sell you my stock take-offs that have been PC'd black cheap. They're just sitting in my garage anyway. PM me if you're interested.

A big +1 for the Hagons.
They are better than the whole Progressive range and waaaaaay better than 412s that are, in my experience, worse than stock.
Save your money, don't get low-end shocks of any make, as they won't afford you any extra comfort or handling IMO. It's way cheaper to PC your stocker shocks until you have the $ for high-end shocks. I can't speak for hagen shocks I only just started hearing about them recently.
