Well I had to leave my 09 streetbob in the rain over night. ( live in an apartment) and bike was wet and hot when I got home so I left my cover off all night. It poured and was still light rain in the morning. Got my rain suit on and went to leave but the bike wouldn't start on first or second try. This has happened when its late at night and a little chilly so I waited for more fuel to pump in and when it stopped I tried again and gave it some fuel. At high revs it stayed but as soon as I let go of throttle it slowed down then died. Did this a few times so I tried to take off in high revs. I know it probably wasn't a good idea but this is my only vehicle and needed to get to work. I got up to second gear and was in parking lot so I had to slow down and the bike died. Got it to start again and parked it. And had to have my wife pick me up.
Any ideas? Saw some threads on rice rocket sites where people said maybe rain got somewhere where it shouldn't have and to let it dry out. Today is sunny and hot so I'm letting it sit there.
And I don't want to ruin something by trying to start it again and again.
Definitely has to be the electrics. I've let my bike sit in torrential downpours at night countless times for various reasons and I've thankfully never had an issue. Run an exposed air cleaner and everything.
I second the blow dryer, if the sun doesn't get to it first. Maybe remove your seat?

Good Luck!
Probably not...The electrics would should not be RPM dependent...Do you have an open air cleaner? It is possible your filter is saturated...
