Took my 06 streetbob to the dealers after chasing a intermittent stumble right off idle that got noticably worse in a hurry to the point i had to nurse it home and park it. The dealer called and said that my bike has the 8degree injectors and they are a know problem and only had them for a few years or maybe just one year, anyway i was wondering the symptoms of anyone who went through this, mine is popping out the intake and chugging it used to right off idle now its everywhere, oh and it has 5600 miles on it, dealer wants to upgrade injectors and then remap it, said id have 5 bills in this. Any experienced thoughts
There was a recall on Softails in 06 for this. Not sure if there was one for Dyna though. May want to look into it. They swapped the for 24 degree. But from what you are describing this was the reason for the recall.
Yes I had it..it was across the board on the 88" injected motors. Both A and B. the issue was at times in the right conditions you could get a hesitation on a hard roll of the throttle. The went to a wider degree of spray to solve it. After changing mine the issue subsided.
Thanks i feel alittle better now, such as i should have that done anyway so its not wasted money, what sizes are there as i thought the service guy said 22 degree is what he would install i see people talking about 24 and 25

Sorry 25 not 24 degree. Here is the service Bulletin.
My brother and I both bought our 2006s at the same time. He had his injectors installed pretty soon after buying it as he was having some stumbling issues.
We both had PCIIIs and custom dynos. My bike ran great so I left it alone untill just about 2 years ago. It started having running issues.
I am just passing along the fact that it could perform well for a number of years and then all of a sudden start to be a problem.
My dealer, Zanottis, didn't do a dam thing for me so I bought some take-off injectors from MUD on here and it fixed the problem.
I would look for some take-offs, then get the $150 download from HD.
I had a 06 Wg that stumbled and missed off idle when it was cold when I would first take off. I replaced them myself, the injectors where around $94 a piece. I had a tuner so that took care of the map part of it.
