I Love my Wood 222 cams in combination with my D&D Fatcat. Turned it into a completely different bike. Comes on strong at 2,000 rpm and runs out well at higher rpms too. Made 6th gear usable down to 55 mph with no lugging whatsoever....twist the throttle & she rocks. Best bolt in cam out there IMO.
Having said that, if you ever plan to do head work or increase compression, I would lean toward the Wood 555 or 777 though, as they are better suited to work in combination with those mods. Also, the 555 will come on at about 2,500 & the 777 at 3,000 respectively...you said you spend a lot of time at WOT so this might better suit your needs. Keep in mind though that the 222 will actually make more torque at cruising speeds than the 555 or 777, so everything is a compromise.
For the way you describe your riding style, I would probably recommend the 555s, which will give you more hp at higher rpms and is compatible with future head work and compression increases should you decide to do so in the future.
I went with the 222 because I knew I would never go further into the motor & I wanted to make 6th gear more usable & gain some low grunt, yet still have good response at higher rpms, although I don't spend a lot of time up there in higher rpms. I made the right choice for me.

is your model a 96 or 103ci? i do a lot of cruising on the freeway/country roads and would like 6th gear to be better so can pass trucks, cars, caravans or whatever and maintain speed
thanks

I have a 2014 103 with Ness air cleaner, Thunderheader, NO cams and I pulled 85hp/103tq last time I ran it on a dyno, and that was before I had my tune dialed in.
I'd like to have a little more but that seems like a low return on investment.
Maybe I'll wait until I rebuild someday and do the heads, pistons, etc at that time.
