I don't remember where they start sending voltage. Like I said I'm an electrical guy. Most of the "real" tuning stuff I know was just stuff I picked up from the guys that did know it.

I use to work in R&D for a major marine propulsion manufacture (the black ones). Now I take care of electrical substations on wind farms. I tried to tell them "I'm not that kind of electrical guy" but they didn't see the difference.
if you want to ck it out yourself, go to NAPA they have a 1/2" drive universal sensor tool. don't forget the anti-seize when you re-install them. they may need to be cleaned.

Ya I had to google "how to's" on these things. The internet never ceases to amaze me. Pretty easy to check them once you know how. I didn't really need any special tools to remove mine. But my bike is pretty new so they haven't been seated a real long time. Pluse I reseated them when I did my exhaust change. Iv'e got new exhaust and O2 washers for the reinstall.
I thought about replacing the front sensor too since I had it striped down. Then I found out how much these things cost. So I thought about cleaning the front. So back to google I went. So looks to me like you have a 50 / 50 chance of cleaning this thing and it not working again. So i'm going to leave it alone.
