Default turns over slow but wont start

Well, a week into owning my 07 street bob it's let me down for the first, and im sure not the last time. I had been riding it all week with the nice weather here, came home last night with no problems. had a big weekend trip planned with some friends and of course come out this morning and the bike wouldnt start. turned over very slowly like it had a bad battery. I had my battey checked and its good, so from what ive been reading here, I need a new starter solenoid. too frustrated to deal with it now but we'll see if that fixes it next week

If it turns it's unlikely to be the solenoid. If the battery is good that narrows it to connections or the starter motor being bad.

Double check the battery to make sure the connections are good and tight. What is your battery reading?

Its most likely the starter. If it was the solenoid, it would just click. You can just un bolt the started and take it to get load tested, and when it proves bad, throw a new one in there. Starters go bad, its a part that needs replacing no biggie man, I'm sure you'll get lots of good miles outta your bob.

Not a good idea to try that on a bike.... They aren't meant to be jumped like car batteries are. If you 'have' to dont have the car running as you can mess up the coils, or damage the voltage regulator. I've heard a lot of horror storys of other **** gettin messed up when people try and jump their bike...

I wound remove and clean the ground to frame. Lots of people will check where the cable connects to the battery, but will not check the other end of the cables.
The ground getting dirty or corroded is fairly common, cause the problem you are having.
