So dealer finished up the repair quote.... After labor, just a hair above 9 grand. The adjuster is going out tomorrow to sign off on it. Still not sure if he's going to total it or not....
Among the scratch and dents, it sustained massive frame damage to the rear of the bike, its beyond repair, and would require a whole new frame, salvaging the motor and trans from my bike, pretty much everything else will be new.
Also, turns out dudes insurance lapsed back in april so, my insurance is going to be taking the repairs on their own, minus the $500 deductible... And I'm on my own for medical help.... didn't opt for uninsured motorist coverage.
FML.
I dont want to be the bearer of bad news but normally with any frame damage they will total the bike out. They have to go off of what the bike is worth prior to the accident and if the cost to repair is greater or even close to what the bike is worth they will total it. Sorry about your luck man this blows.
Ha, thats what EVERYONE has been saying... You have no idea how hard I've been resisting... haha.
Sadly getting totaled is looking like what it will be. I mean, it is a new bike but the repair cost and worth and within such a small margin. It really sucks, you develop such a bond with your bike, its sad seeing it FUBAR.
Even tho a new 2013-14 would be nice, I'm gonna miss the **** outta my bob...

FUBAR Sucks, but look at the two positives.
You get to start over with mods and avoid the ones you might have done different.
You live to ride another day.
Update!
After crunching all the number AND adding my accessories to the value of the bike, they aren't going to total it! Instead I'll be getting a check to have it repaired, among other things a new frame due to the fact the struts aren't repairable. So, now I'm faced with some new options. I'm going to start a thread to get some ideas going.
