Monday I will be put in an order for the Fuel Moto Power Vision Tuner .
Fuel Moto send it with a tune of my choice for my bike . My Bike has the V&H ShortShots and Big Sucker Filter and was at one time RE-mapped by H-D (I think ) . It runs well no popping ?? My question is how would you order the tuner set with the first download . The first thing is more fuel as it is running a little lean ? The second is idle I can have it set at 950 or at 1000- rpm ?
FM will send you the best map they have for your set up. When you get WINPV set up on your computer, you can go in (after you download the new tune on your bike) and compare what was on your bike and what FM sent - most interesting is the AFR map.
Just flash your bike with the custom tune they loaded, then auto tune it a couple times on some varied rides. Save all of your maps onto your computer. Once you have auto tuned it and it is running great, you don't have to run that PV unless you want to use it for the data display. I would keep the idle at 1000 to ensure adequate oil pressure, but that is JMHO.
Also, before the PV shows up you can read up on it and download all the literature (actually more) that comes with the unit. You can also prep your bike by locating the diagnostic port and making sure it is accessible to plug into the PV. Can also look where you want to mount it (just left of the riser clamp for me) and how you will route the cable (up under the left side of the frame, inside the channel, secured wit small zip ties). Really easy install.

I,m not going to keep the Power Vision on the bike all the time . Once I get the tune In need it will come off . I don,t like anything I really don,t need on the bike . I talked to the service Tec at Fuel Moto about this and he said there is no reason to keep it on after I get it running like I like .

Other than it can be a tachometer ,display engine temp, front and rear afr's, Battery voltage etc etc...... but you certainly do not have to have it on there once the bike runs right.
there are a lot of things you can fine tune with PV and it will take some time to learn but it's all worth while.
I never thought I'd leave mine on either. The thing is though, it does so many things that I have ended up leaving it there. It's nice being able to monitor anything that you want to.

BTW, the map that FM sent with the PV worked so well I really didn't think there was a need to run the AT feature. But on a recommendation from another member I went ahead and did it. Damn this thing runs really smooth now!
Mines around a year old, is the auto-tune function a new one or would mine have this feature? If so, I'll have to look into it! I've been more than happy with FM's tune, but if I can auto-tune then decide what works better... Well then, why not!?

If you have updated to all the latest firmware & software autotune is available for all PV units. Next you need to learn how to use it. All the information is available from dynojet PV download site.
