I have a 29" inseam. I'm 5'6" and get my feet flat on the floor, but worry about the reach of front mounted controls for my Super Glide. Just today I took delivery on a LePara daddy long legs seat. It moves me back (they say two inches) in the seat and feels better at least setting on the bike. I don't think the ride height has changed. I'll have to let you know after some saddle time.
Joe, just did a check at cycle-ergo using a Fat Bob and your dimensions, and the screen said that legs are too short to reach the pegs, and that was without moving you back 2". Doesn't look like they will work for you, but others will say they will. Go sit on a FB and see if they work. I have a 30" inseam, and just sitting on a WG or FB hurts my lower back. Go sit on several before shelling out any cash for forwards... tomp dd50

Dirt dreamer, have not set on a a Dyna with forwards but have put a leg over a soft tail Duce. I could rest my feet on the pegs but legs were straight with no room to operate shift or brake. Think I will need to stick with the mids.
Thanks for taking an interest.

You can put reduced reach forwards on and probably be fine...I have a 30" inseam and have the reduced reach set up. I have plenty of bend in my knees and they are WAY better than mids to me...
I found that strengthening and stretching the hip flexors was the solution for me.
Around town is an issue because they get used a lot more than people are used to, and on long rides they tighten up from sitting and then really become painful when they cramp and that often happens the first time you stop after a long stretch.
Whether it was on the RR, or the dirt bike I had the same issues as you guys are having with mids. Since I started running and stretching I have not had any issues. Also getting the wind load off your upper body helps. You aren't trying to bend t the hips fighting wind pressure to stay upright. Without the windscreen i tend to hunch over and roll my back which has other obvious issues.
