I bought the yellow Harbor Freight this past spring for $59, did the simple modification for my 13 SGC, no problems at all.

You'll spend more money on repairs if the bike falls off the stand. That was my theory for buying the J&S and the first thing I bought for the bike 5 years ago. There are one to many stories of bikes failing off these craftsman/harbor freight jacks. None for the J&S!! I just want to make sure the $20k I have into my bike is safe.

Yuuup! $400 for a jack seem too much for me as well. I bought a yellow craftsman for $99 when OHS were closing the door.
